Jared Byrns is the pastor of Central Baptist Church in downtown Lawton, Oklahoma.
He has served in pastoral ministry for 17 years and has been preaching the Gospel for more than two decades. He began sensing God’s call to ministry while in high school and has since served churches in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
His ministry is marked by a strong emphasis on biblical teaching and Christian apologetics, shaped by both academic training and formative encounters with skepticism during his college years that led to a deeper, more thoughtful confidence in the truth of the Gospel. He is the author of five books, including Christs in Contrast, which examines and compares the Christologies of nine major worldviews. A central focus of his work is equipping believers to understand and defend the Christian faith, with particular attention to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He also serves on the boards of the Pregnancy Resource Center of Southwest Oklahoma and Trinity Christian Academy.
Jared lives on a farm outside Lawton with his wife, Charla, and their five children.
