Hopoksa Ministries is the registered trade name Jared Byrns uses for some of his multilingual publishing, teaching, and media work. These resources are designed to help Christians know Scripture, think clearly, defend the faith, and live faithfully in the ordinary callings God has given them.

Jared began this work in 2010 under the name Rejoicing in Truth, publishing online teaching devoted to Christian doctrine, apologetics, and discipleship. Over time, the work grew to include sermons, articles, books, Bible studies, and resources for the local church.
In 2025, after spending time in northern New Mexico and seeing more clearly the need for faithful Christian teaching in Spanish, Jared became convinced that his teaching work should expand beyond English and become more intentionally multilingual.
That conviction also made a new name helpful. Rather than choosing a title that would need to be translated differently from one language to another, Jared turned to his Choctaw heritage for inspiration. The name Hopoksa is not a random word from a random language, but one connected to Jared’s family heritage and to the purpose of his teaching work.
In Choctaw dictionaries, hopoksa is associated with wisdom, sobriety, humility, prudence, discernment, moral uprightness, and spiritual transformation. Related words also carry the idea of discipline and formation. These meanings reflect the kind of wisdom Jared seeks to encourage through his teaching and writing: not merely information or cleverness, but a life shaped by truth, humility, self-control, and obedience to God.
Jared’s teaching is rooted in historic Christianity and centered on the life and ministry of the local church. His resources are written from a confessional Southern Baptist perspective and are intended to strengthen ordinary believers, families, churches, and students. The goal is not novelty, celebrity, or controversy for its own sake, but faithful Christian teaching that is careful, accessible, and useful.
